Filament Project, Bellevue

Project Description

Filament consists of two eight-story mixed-use multifamily buildings. It includes 293 apartment units and 7,664 square feet of retail at grade. Both buildings have multi-story below-grade parking, which will accommodate 342 parking stalls. The project site is located at 10538 & 10588 NE 2nd St in downtown Bellevue. The project start date is targeting September 2026, and completion is estimated for December 2028. 

• Site Preparation & Preconstruction
  • Final project easement secured, completing the last major preconstruction milestone.
  • City of Bellevue preconstruction meetings for ROW, clearing & grading, and shoring completed.
  • Excavation startup planning, utility coordination, permitting, and sequencing efforts are ongoing.
  • PSE coordination on the pole relocations is ongoing, access on 2nd for mass ex dirt haul-out depends on it.
• Mass Excavation & Shoring
  • Mass excavation mobilizes 9/10.
  • Contractor mobilization and site logistics planning complete.
  • Environmental, permitting, and sequencing activities ongoing to support excavation start.
  • Shoring scheduled to start 9/21.
• Tower Crane
  • Tower crane foundation excavation planning is ongoing.
  • Excavation is targeting October completion to support crane erection before Bellevue's holiday moratorium.
• Utilities
  • PSE confirmed transformers are reserved and available in April or May 2027.
  • Merlino is scheduled to start installing the PSE pathway, begin potholing operations, and perform cut-and-cap work.
• Environmental
  • AECOM is scheduled to perform targeted soil sampling to further define contaminated soil locations.
  • Site monitoring cameras are scheduled to be installed prior to major excavation.
